Competency Proficiency Levels

Proficiency levels are the scales used to rate learners on competencies. A Group represents what is being evaluated.  For example, you may create a competency group called Management Skills to evaluate a learner's skills after completing competency requirements. Levels represent the scale on which you are rating the learning. For example; 1-Expert, 2-Proficient, etc.

Proficiency levels are created separately and are then assigned to competencies.

To manage proficiency levels, your role must have unrestricted access to the Proficiency Levels feature.

Create a Proficiency Level Group

  1. Go to Manage Center > Talent > Competency Manager > Proficiency Levels.
  2. Click the add icon above the proficiency groups list.

If a proficiency level group is being used by a competency, it can't be deleted. Nor can any of its proficiency levels.
