The Connect menu is your hub for staying in touch with peers, instructors, and colleagues across the organization. Use this space to participate in discussion forums, check your messages, or search the directory to reach out to team members.Learners, managers and instructors generally have access to discussion forums, the inbox and people search. Administrators may also have access to the mass email sender. The specific features visible on your screen will depend and your assigned permissions and roles within the system.Your MailboxYour Mailbox is your personal inbox for internal communication within the learning system. Use it to view, reply to, and send messages to instructors, managers, and other users, or check system notifications.To access your mailbox, click the Connect menu and select Mail.In order to create or reply to a message, you must have unrestricted acccess to the mailbox. If you have view-only access, the Reply and Create options are not available. Please contact your system administrator if you have questions about your access.Viewing Your MessagesWhen you select Mail, the mailbox opens. The mailbox displays your internal messages and system notifications, along with basic details like who sent each message, the subject line, and the date it was received.To open and view a message, click the message subject. To reply to a message, click the Reply button. Create a New MessageThere are two options for creating a new message:On the main Mail Box screen click +Create.Open an existing message and click New Message.Configure the new message and click Send.Delete MessagesThere are two options for deleting messages:To bulk delete messages, select the checkbox next to each message on the main Mailbox screen, then choose Delete from the Bulk Actions menu.You can also delete a specific message by opening the message and clicking the Delete button.Discussion ForumsForums are discussion boards where you can browse topics, read and reply to posts, and start new discussions. You can also subscribe to a forum to receive email notifications whenever new content is added. Most learners will have the ability to view and reply to topics in the forums to which they have access. Some forums are configured to allow users to create new topics in a forum as well. Please contact a system administrator if you have questions about your access or about specific forums. Access Forums and Forum TopicsTo access forums, click the Connect menu and select Forums. The Forums screen is organized by forum category. Information about the your available forums includes forum name, number of topics, number of posts and information about the user, date and time of the most recent post.Click a forum name to view the forum's topics, then click on the topic to view a topic and reply to it (if the forum is configured to allow replies).Subscribe to a ForumYou can subscribe to a forum to daily email notifications when the forum is updated. To do this, access the appropriate forum and click the Subscribe button. To only view forums that you have subscribed to, click My Subscriptions on the main Forums page.Create a New TopicSome forums are configured to allow forum users to create new topics. When this is the case, the +New Topic button displays within the forum. Click +New Topic.Enter the title and description of the topic.Click Save.Search for PeoplePeople search allows you to look up colleagues across the organization by keyword, filter the list by department, role, or job profile, and view detailed profiles.To access people search, click the Connect menu and select People (sometimes labeled Know Your People).To perform a search, enter a name or other keyword in the search field. Click the Case-sensitive check box if appropriate. Take one of the following actions:Click inside the field to select from a list of auto-filled options to open a user profile.Click enter to return a list of all matching users.
