Certificate Award Attributes Certificate award attributes are custom fields that allow you to capture additional information about awarded certificates, beyond the standard LMS fields. Values can be assigned to the attributes when certifications are awarded (manually or when imported). The values are displayed in a learner's certification reports in the Career Development Center.To manage certificate award attributes, your role must have unrestricted access to the Certificate Award Attributes features.Create a Certificate Award Attribute Go to Manage Center > Learning > Certification Manager > Certificate Award Attributes. Click + Create Certificate Award Attribute. In the Attribute Code field, enter a unique code. Enter the attribute name in the Name field. For multi-language systems you can enter the label key that will be used to look up the localized name in the user's preferred language. In the Type field, select the data type for the attribute. Free text (a single line of text up to 255 characters) Text area (multiple lines of text) Drop-down (select the value from a list). Note: You will need to save the attribute before you can add values to the drop-down list. Please see Configure the Attribute Drop-Down Values below for additional information. Numeric (In PeopleFluent Learning versions up to and including 21.04, fractional numbers less than 1 must start with a zero; for example, 0.75, not .75). Select the Sum total when printing or reporting checkbox (located below the Type field) if you want to show the sum of values. Check box Date (a calendar tool to select a date) For numeric attributes, select the check box if you want to show the sum of the values when printing or reporting the attribute. Click Save. Attributes can be edited, but there are restrictions on changing an attribute's type. For additional information, please see Allowed Transitions Between Dynamic Attribute Types. Configure the Attribute Drop-Down OptionsIf you selected Drop-down in step 5 above, you can configure the options after you have saved the new attribute. On the Certificate Award Attributes page, locate the appropriate attribute and select Edit from the action menu. In the Certificate Award Attribute Value(s) section, click the Add New Option button. Enter a code, label key and description. Click Save. Repeat steps 1-4 to add more options. Click Save. Set the Attribute PermissionsLocate the appropriate attribute on the Certificate Award Attributes page. Click the action menu and select Permissions. Read-only allows view-only access to the attribute. Unrestricted additionally allows the user to update, delete and set permissions for the attribute Delete A Certificate Award Attribute To delete a single attribute, locate the appropriate attribute on the Certificate Award Attributes page. Click the action menu and select Delete. To delete multiple attributes, click the checkboxes for the appropriate attributes on the Certificate Award Attributes page. In the Bulk Action field, select Delete. Attributes that are being used in any live certifications awarded to learners cannot be deleted. Are you a PeopleFluent administrator?
