Widget Page Templates The Widget page provides learners and other users with a dashboard of information and links to relevant features. It provides a single area for users to access pre-created widgets. You have the ability to customize Widget pages by creating templates. This allows you to configure the Widget page with content that is meaningful to different types of users. The templates can be assigned to skins, roles and organizations. Widget Page Target Audiences You can create and manage multiple widget pages for individual users. This allows you to tailor dashboards for different audiences, ensuring everyone sees the information most relevant to them. For example, you may want to have separate widget pages for learners, instructors and managers. In order to display multiple widget pages, you must update the skin's navigation.xml file. Specifically, the addWidgetPage="true" attribute must be added to a sub-menu. Example below: For additional information about managing skins, please see Skins For information about creating and managing widgets, please see Manage HTML Widgets. To manage widget page templates, you must have unrestricted access to the Widget Page Manager feature.
