Generate an Exam Module

You can generate an exam as a standalone learning module and allow learners to enroll in it as if it were a course. You can generate an exam module from any exam saved as a template. For information about designating an exam as a template, please see Create and Manage Exams.

To generate an exam module, your role must have unrestricted access to the Exam Generator feature.
  1. Go to Manage Center > Learning > Exam and Questions Manager > Exams.
  2. Hover over the + Create Exam button and select Generate Exam Module.
  3. In the Exam Pool field, select the pool containing the exam you want to generate.
  4. In the Exam Template field, select the appropriate template.
  5. In the Enrollment Type fields, select the enrollment type.
  6. Select the start and end dates for the exam's availability to learners.
  7. Click Generate. A dialog opens to tell you if the exam was successfully generated.
  8. Click Edit Exam to update the exam details, or Open Catalog Editor to configure the learning module.
