Organization Management Tasks To manage organizations, your role must have the Allow Organization Maintenance Data Access Control permission.Add a Child OrganizationYou can add an organization to the organization hierarchy anywhere under the ALL organization in the Organization Maintenance page. The initial Summary View shows an expandable tree-view of your organizations. You can toggle between the Summary View and a Flat View, which shows all of the organizations at once, with their level in the hierarchy indicated by a forward slash ( / ). Go to Manage Center > Users > Group and Organization > Organization Maintenance. Organizations are presented in a summary, expandable tree view. If you prefer to work in a flat view, click the Show in Flat View button. This will list all organizations, with their level in the hierarchy indicated by a forward slash (/).Right-click on the parent organization (summary view) or click the action menu (flat view) and select Add Organization as Child.Set the organization properties. The table below contains guidance for each properties section:SectionDescriptionGeneral PropertiesEnter the organization code and organization name. These fields are required to save the organization. The organization code must be unique.Organization Member PermissionsConfigure relevant permissions for users assigned to the organization. For example, select the Manager Name and Manager Email check boxes to allow members of the organization to edit their manager's name and email address in their profile page. You can also specify the level of detail in learner transcripts to make available to reviewers, direct appraisers and instructors. This can be defined in a parent organization and inherited by its child organizations.eSignatureHere, you can specify the eSignature legal name format and enable or disable eSignature authorization for various actions in the LMS.eSignature Legal Name Format - the default setting for the eSignature legal name format is [Last name], [First Name] [Middle Name]. To change the format, click Customize and select the components from the drop-down list in order. Be sure to select the comma dropdown between components.eSignature Switcher - specify eSignature options for the available actions. You can set them individually or all at once using the Enable All, Disable All or Inherit from Parent Settings for All options. When eSignature is enabled for an action, the Manage box text will automatically call the defined standard eSignature prompt. You can change it to a custom prompt, but it must be defined. For information about prompts in the standard.properties and custom.properties files, please contact your system administrator.Enrollment & PaymentHere, you can select an enrollment policy and payment options for the organization. You can choose from the policies and options set on the system level.Report DistributionSpecify the manager here to use for the processing of mass distribution reports (such as R503) to help simplify automated review and distribution processes. Member Management & Notification SettingsApprover - select a user to approve new users assigned to the organization. Leave blank if approval is not required.New User Welcome Email/New Password Email - select the appropriate email templates.Feedback Address - an email address or feedback form URL where a organiztion members can contact the approver. Note that the logical domain feedback address will take precedence.Logout URL - enter an organization-specific URL to which users will be redirected when they logout. Home Page Customization/Widget Page CustomizationWhen the legacy UI is enabled, the Home Page Customization section is shown. Here, you can customize the LMS home page to be organization-specific by adding a background image, a footer link to an HTML page, or by applying a home page template.When the new UI enabled, the Widget Page Customization section is shown here, as the home page used by the new UI can't be customized. Here, you can configure the widget page to be organization-specific by adding a background image, a footer link to an HTML page, or by applying a widget page template.Optional Organization AttributesHere, you can enter values for any available organization attributes.Click Save.Move a Child Organization within the HierarchyMoving an organization to a new position as a child of another organization may cause it to inherit settings from its new parent. Moving an organization to a parent level above existing organizations in the hierarchy may cause the child organizations (and descendants) to inherit settings from the organization you moved.Move in Summary ViewOn the Organization Maintenance page, browse the hierarchy to locate the organization you want to move.Click and drag the organization to another position in the hierarchy. The Move Organization dialog opens, and shows the name of the target parent organization.Click Move.Move in Flat ViewOn the Organization Maintenance page, locate the organization you want to move. Click the action button and select Move. In the Move Organization dialog, click the browse icon. In the Organization Selection dialog, browse the hierarchy and select the new parent organization.Click OK to return to the Move Organization dialog. The target parent organization is shown.Click Move. Delete an OrganizationWhen you delete an organization its members are transferred to the immediate parent organization. Deleting an organization does not delete any users or their related transcripts.Delete in Summary ViewOn the Organization Maintenance page, browse the hierarchy to locate the organization you want to delete.Right-click on the organization and select Delete.Click OK.Delete in Flat ViewOn the Organization Maintenance page, locate the organization you want to move.
