Training Centers

Training centers represent a physical location with associated collections of facilities, rooms and class resources.  Training centers can be assigned to classroom-based class schedules, enabling users to book its available facilities and resources. 

To manage training centers, your user role must have unrestricted access to the Class Resource Manager feature.

Create a Training Center

  1. Go to Manage Center > Learning > Class Resources Manager > Training Centers.
  2. Click + Create Training Center.
  3. Configure the training center properties:
  • Training Center Name (required) - enter the name of the training center.
  • Description - enter a brief description.
  • Venue - enter the venue name.
  • Contact Info - enter contact information for the training center.
  • Directions - provide written directions for the training center.
  • Map - here to you can provide a map for the training center by selecting a map file that exists in the Repository Manager.  Click the browse icon to select the file.
  • Address Fields - enter information in the address fields.
  • Exchange Server - select the appropriate Exchange server.
  1. Click Save.

Set Training Center Permissions

To set permissions, locate the appropriate training center on the Training Centers page. Click the action menu and select Permissions. Use the permission selector, following the guidelines below:

  • Read-only allows the user view-only access to the training center.
  • Unrestricted additionally allows the user to update, delete and set permissions for the training center.

Delete a Training Center

  • To delete a single training center, locate the appropriate item on the Training Centers page. Click the action menu and select Delete.
  • To delete multiple training centers, click the checkboxes for the appropriate items on the Training Centers page. In the Bulk Action field, select Delete.

Training centers that are being used in a course can't be deleted. The Default training center can't be deleted under any circumstances.
