Transcript Statuses A learner's transcript indicates the current enrollment status for a course session (Not Started, In Progress, Completed, etc.). The LMS comes with a set of default transcript statuses that are not editable. You can't create new statuses, but you can create sub-statuses for additional detail.Examples:Completed could be sub-classified as With Merit or With DistinctionWaiver/Exempt could be sub-classified as Equivalent Qualification or Experience WaiverExcused could be sub-classified as Illness/Injury or Bereavement or Jury ServiceTranscript statuses are set up in Catalog Management and assigned in various areas of the LMS by instructors, appraisers, managers and course administrators.To create and edit transcript sub-statuses, your user role must have unrestricted access to the Transcript Status Manager feature.Transcript StatusesThe table below describes the statuses that come out-of-the-box with the LMS.StatusActiveCreditableNot StartedYesNoIn ProcessYesNoWaitlistedNoNoDropped from WaitlistNoNoWithdrawnNoNoWithdraw - Valid ReasonNoNoWithdraw - Invalid ReasonNoNoWithdrawn - Account ClosedNoNoCompletedNoYesCompleted (Self-Asserted)NoYesCancelledNoNoPending ApprovalYesNoApproval DeniedNoNoPassedNoNoFailedNoNoNo showNoNoDeactivatedNoNoDeadline ExpiredNoNoSession Selection NeededYesNoWaiver/ExemptNoYesExcusedNoNoCreate a Transcript Sub-StatusSub-statuses inherit access permissions from their parent transaction status.Go to Manage Center > Learning > Catalog Configuration > Transcript Status Manager.Locate the appropriate status in the list and click the +Add Sub-status link.Enter a unique code for the sub-status.Enter a name for the sub-status. This is the name provided in drop-down lists to select a transcript status, and is the name shown in learners' transcript details and reports.Repeat steps 3 and 4 for additional sub-statuses as required.Click Save. The sub-statuses are listed in the Sub-status column in the Transcript Status Manager.Set Permissions for the Sub-StatusPermissions are set on the status level and inherited by the sub-status. To set the permissions for a status, locate the appropriate status on the Transcript Status Manager page. Click the action menu and select Permissions.Read-only allows view-only access.Unrestricted additionally allows the user to add and delete sub-statuses and set permissions for the status.Delete a Sub-StatusTo delete a transcript sub-status, locate the associated main status. Click the action menu and select Edit Sub-Statuses. Click the remove icon for the sub-status you would like to delete.Transcript sub-statuses that are being used in a course can't be deleted.
